Competition
Stargate
Whether you dance solo, as a couple, or in a team, this is your moment in front of an international crowd and a panel of judges who know what it takes to stand out.
Stargate has grown into one of the parts of the festival people talk about all year. Dancers come from all over the world to compete, and every edition there are more of them. If you are working towards a bigger stage, this is the night to take it.
What you win
Winners of each category earn a spot on the Main Stage during the International Red Carpet Showcase, sharing the spotlight with world-class artists.
What it costs
Taking part costs €150 per person. That is a fixed price and it includes your pass: the same access as a Full Pass, so competing gets you into the whole festival for less than the regular price. Dancing in a second show costs €50 per person on top.
Good to know
- A jury decides, not the loudest cheering section. You do not need to bring a crowd to win.
- Choreographers are allowed to dance with their amateur teams.
- Your Performer Pass is part of the €150. It covers all regular workshops and parties.
- One entry per show. Your category sets the night: couples on Friday, groups on Saturday, solo dancers on Sunday.
- The competition itself runs during the day. The winners perform that same evening, on the Main Stage.
